About ABMortgageRates.com
ABMortgageRates.com is a free Alberta mortgage rate site run by the MITEY network. We read rates off the websites of lenders that lend in Alberta, date every one, and map which of ATB and the credit unions has a branch in each town. No lender pays to be listed, ranked or featured.
What we do
- Collect published rates from 16 lenders that lend in Alberta, on their own pages (last collection Nov 2, 2026), and show each Alberta lender side by side.
- Map the branches of ATB and Alberta's credit unions in 219 towns, from each lender's own branch list, so you can see who you could walk in to.
- Price every rate on your mortgage: payment, interest over the term and balance at renewal.
What we don't do
- We're not a lender or a mortgage brokerage, and we don't arrange mortgages.
- We don't publish "exclusive" or unpublished rates, and we never call a collected rate "live".
- We don't take money from lenders for placement.
How the site is paid for
The rates and tools are free and need no sign-up. If you ask us to, someone from the MITEY network team can talk a mortgage through with you; that is the only way your details reach anyone. We don't receive your calculator inputs.
Editorial standards
Rules come from primary sources (the Government of Alberta, CUDGC, OSFI, the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, the Bank of Canada), each dated on the page. See how we collect rates and branches.
